My name is Jake Jordan.  I formerly conducted postdoctoral studies at Yale and Rice Universities. I received my PhD from the Department of Geosciences at the University of Texas at Austin.  I study the partial melting of Earth and other planets.  The partial melting of planetary interiors can lead to the onset of plate tectonics, volcanism, the chemical differences observed in rocks throughout worlds and may play an integral role in the evolution of habitable planets.   Oh...and I spend my nights and weekends pretending to be an artist.
